About The Position

The Mining Engineer will assist in the operational direction, input and advice for the safe mining of the resource while ensuring its compliance to the prescribed mine plan.

Your day-to-day activities will include but not limited to:

• Development of short-term and medium-term design, plans and schedules for the mining operation
• Assist with overseeing and coordinating the drill and blast activities to ensure effective execution of Mine Plans.
• Monitor and enhance the Production Plan's execution, sharing your insights for improvements
• Conduct daily, weekly, and Monthly reporting against KPIs and budgets
• Operations and site-based technical support
• Data management, technical analysis and assessment
• Positive engagement with a range of internal and external stakeholders

What We Are Seeking

A highly motivated Mining Engineer who values safety and being part of a great work culture.

• Minimum 1 - 4 years’ open pit mining experience (hard rock)
• Tertiary degree - Mining Engineer (Essential)
• Quarry Manager’s Certificate (Desirable) or willing to achieve certification
• Demonstrated understanding of drill and blast designs and techniques
• Short to medium term planning skills
• Proficiency with Deswik or similar engineering software
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills as well as the ability to drive performance
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment
