About The Position
Reporting to the HSET Superintendent, this role will support the design, development and delivery of training programs to build skills and competencies of mine operations employees to safely and effectively perform tasks associated with their roles.
Your day-to-day activities will include but are not limited to:
Providing training, assessment and VOC services to mining operations personnel including Operations, Maintenance and other areas as required
Maintaining an up-to-date Training Needs Analysis and skills matrix for personnel within the site operations
Design, maintain and deliver inductions and onboarding programs to support Mining operations, as well as assisting in the facilitation of general surface inductions and onboarding when required
Facilitating the collection and storage of accurate training and assessment records
What You Will Bring
A mining training professional who is motivated and values safety first in everything they do, including looking out for their teammates.
Previous experience as a trainer & assessor on Open Pit mining projects
Cert IV Training & Assessing TAE 40116 or higher
Strong knowledge of training & assessment methods and techniques to AQTF standard
Proven competency in the operation of heavy earthmoving equipment
A current Australian drivers licence
Strong communication skills, written and verbal
A positive attitude to safety and teamwork
Familiarity with safety regulations and standards in the mining industry
You must have full Australian working rights, be able to complete and pass a medical assessment (including drug & alcohol screen) and be able to provide a current National Police Clearance (within last 12 months).
