About the Position
Reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent, this role is responsible for directing the safe execution of mine drilling and blasting activities.
The primary focus of this role is to supervise the ore excavation to maximise ore recovery and minimise ore dilution.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will also include but not be limited to –
Collecting blast hole samples from the drill rigs.
Stockpile and pit inspections to ensure ore mining hygiene meets the standard.
Daily data entry and data management
Ensuring samples meet grade control/quality control sampling standards.
Assist with logistics of sample dispatch to the offsite laboratory.
Provide assistance to the technical services and mine operations team to deliver the organisational objectives.
What we are seeking
A mining professional who is motivated and values safety first in everything they do, including looking out for their teammates.
Previous experience in a similar position working in a mine production/fieldwork environment.
Excellent communication skills working as part of a team.
Intermediate level of Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong time management skills with high attention to detail.
A qualification in a geological related discipline is desired but not essential.
A positive attitude to work safely.
A valid Australian drivers licence.
You must have full Australian working rights, be able to complete and pass a medical assessment (including drug & alcohol screen) and be able to provide a current National Police Clearance (within last 12 months).
